The Applied Optics Center started in the early 1960’s as Opto-Electronics Corporation, a provider of complex, assembled optical sighting systems for the U.S. military.
Throughout the years we’ve been a part of several organizations, including Litton Laser, Northrop Grumman and L-3 Communications, and have continued to build upon our legacy by becoming the preferred supplier of critical optical components and assemblies to the U.S. Army, DoD, foreign military organizations, as well as the commercial sector.
Our products and services are widely known within our Customer organizations, and are viewed as the optical standard within our industry.
AOC engages every Customer inquiry as a unique opportunity. Our small, focused Design Team performs extensive interaction with our Customers at the front-end of the design cycle to ensure that their optical design – whether a single thin-film -coated component or a complex optical assembly – receives the attention and evaluation to ensure its ultimate success.
We also tailor our design expertise to meet both end-user production requirements and cost targets, ensuring a design process focused on Customer success, first and foremost.
